Membership Qualifications

To maintain the integrity and harmony of our community, we have a few guidelines for new members:

Attendance: Unless you are transferring your membership from another Unity church, you must have attended Unity of Springfield for at least six months. This period allows you to understand our practices, beliefs, and community life.
Orientation Class: All prospective members must attend an orientation class. This class provides an overview of Unity's history, beliefs, and governance, as well as an introduction to our community and ministries.

How to Apply

Ready to join our spiritual family? Here's how:

Complete an application: Submit your application online or download the membership form, fill it out, and return it to the church office for processing.
Attend an Orientation: Membership orientation takes place once a year. You can sign up to our newsletter or contact the church to find out when we have our new member orientation class.

Vote on important church decisions.

We are here to help!

The pantry is open during our normal business hours. Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Sundays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

There are no barriers, forms, documents, or additional requirements to use the Unity of Springfield Food Pantry. We do limit food items to one bag per family per visit.

Donations

The Unity of Springfield food pantry is supported 100% through donations.

Donations can be made during our normal business hours. Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Sundays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Currently, our capacity for refrigerated or frozen items is limited, so please check with us before bringing these goods. However, we welcome pantry items at any time.

Some information about Unity of Springfield. We are a New Thought Center/Church that is a part of the broader Unity Movement. We provide a positive path for spiritual living.

Our core beliefs are encapsulated in Unity’s Five Principles:

God is Good and Present Everywhere: There is one Power and Presence in the universe, God the Good.
Divine Spark in Everyone: Every person is inherently good because each is created in the image of God.
Thoughts Create Reality: We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
Affirmative Prayer and Meditation: Affirmative prayer and meditation heighten our connection with God.
Live the Truth We Know: Knowing and understanding these spiritual principles isn’t enough. We must live them.

We treat all prayer requests with the utmost confidentiality. Upon receiving your request, we will forward it to our prayer team and acknowledge your need during our Sunday Service. Additionally, your request will be shared with Silent Unity, where it will be held in a confidential prayer vigil for 30 days. We know that God meets all your needs and we are honored to pray with you!
