The mat-makers create sleeping mats for our unsheltered friends out of used plastic bags. New members are welcome and needed to continue this important work. There are a variety of ways to get involved:
•Donating used, plastic retail shopping bags.
•Cutting bags to make plarn.
•Joining the loops to make plarn (plastic yarn).
•Weave or crochet the plarn into 3’ x 6’ ground cover mats.
They meet weekly on Thursday, 10:00am-12:00pm
