Join us for a transformative experience at our treasure mapping workshop led by Sue Baggett-Day, Minister at Unity of Springfield.
A treasure map, also known as a vision board, is a physical representation of your goals. It’s a collage of images and text that acts as a reminder of what you want to accomplish, and how you will do it. It intensifies the effects of visualization – a technique which acts on your subconscious mind to motivate and encourage you toward reaching those goals.
When you set an important goal, have you ever closed your eyes and imagined you have achieved that goal? You can feel it and clearly see every detail. But maybe it takes a lot of effort to recreate your visualization when you need inspiration. Treasure mapping is a tool to remind you what you’re working toward and keep you motivated. You’ve probably seen treasure maps in movies or games. This treasure map won’t show you how to find a buried treasure. Instead, your map will point the way to a goal you want to achieve.
This map is a physical representation of how you’ll achieve your goal. By creating and focusing on the steps you need to take, you can build confidence and belief in your own abilities to sachieve what you set out to do.
How Do I Use a Treasure Map?
Use your treasure map as a source of inspiration. Take a few minutes every day to focus on it. Reflect on what successes you’ve already had, and think about how you’ll reach the next milestone in your journey.
You may also find yourself thinking fresh thoughts about your goals, and looking at them from new angles. For example, if you’re visualizing a promotion, you might develop new insights into your current role and responsibilities.
Treasure mapping is a powerful technique for motivation and self-confidence.
Here are a few possible ideas for treasure maps to stimulate your imagination:
Health
Show yourself radiantly healthy, active, beautiful, participating in whatever activities would indicate perfect health.
Weight or Physical Condition
Show yourself with your perfect body, feeling wonderful about yourself (cut a picture from a magazine that looks like you would look in your perfect condition, and paste a photo of your head on the body!). You can make statements with balloons around them coming out of your mouth like in cartoons, to indicate how you are feeling, such as, “I feel wonderful and look fantastic now that I weigh 125 pounds, and am in great physical condition.”
Self-Image and Beauty
Show yourself as you want to feel about yourself… beautiful, relaxed, enjoying life, warm and loving. Include words and symbols that represent these qualities to you.
Relationships
Put photos of yourself and your friend, lover, husband, wife, family member, or co-worker in your treasure map, with pictures, symbols, and affirmations showing that you are happy, loving, communicating, enjoying a deep, wonderful sexual relationship, or whatever is appropriate and desirable for that relationship.
If you are looking for a new relationship, find pictures and words that represent qualities you desire in the person and the relationship; show yourself with the ideal person for you.
Job or Career
Show yourself doing what you really want to do, with interesting, agreeable co-workers, earning plenty of money (be specific about how much you want), in the location you desire, and any other pertinent details.
Creativity
Use symbols, colors, and pictures that indicate your creativity is really opening up. Show yourself doing and manifesting creative, beautiful, interesting things and feeling great about them.
Family and Friends
Show members of your family or friends in totally harmonious, loving relationships with you and each other.
Travel
Show yourself wherever you want to be, with plenty of time and money to enjoy your location.
Begin the New Year with a clear vision and a renewed sense of purpose at our White Stone Ceremony. This cherished tradition at Unity of Springfield provides a powerful moment for you to contemplate your spiritual path and set your intentions for the year ahead.
Step into the New Year empowered and inspired!
Unity of Springfield’s White Stone Ceremony is a sacred event where community and introspection meet. On January 5th, we gather to contemplate our callings for the year and crystallize our intentions on a symbolic white stone.
This ceremony is rooted in the Unity tradition from the apocalyptic text of the Book of Revelation that talks about receiving a new name. For many Unity members, this passage symbolizes a new spiritual focus for the New Year, representing rebirth and new beginnings. It’s a time to embrace the lessons of the past and move forward with clarity and inner peace.
Each participant will receive a white stone, symbolizing a fresh start and the presence of new opportunities. During our ceremony, you’ll be invited to inscribe your stone with a word or phrase that will guide your spiritual journey through 2025.
As the year draws to a close, Unity of Springfield invites you to join us for our reflective Burning Bowl Ceremony. This powerful tradition allows us to release the old and make room for new blessings and experiences in the coming year.
Description:
Embrace the transformative power of release at our Annual Burning Bowl Ceremony.
As we bid farewell to the year, gather with us in a moment of contemplation and intention-setting. This sacred ceremony offers you the space to let go of what no longer serves you, creating a clear path for your aspirations and dreams for 2025.
Write down the thoughts, habits, or memories you wish to release on a piece of paper and watch as they dissolve away. Let this act symbolize the end of one chapter and the beautiful beginning of another.
Together, we’ll ignite the promise of tomorrow with clarity and purpose.
