Eddie Watkins Jr has always been musically gifted. From a young age, singing, performing, and playing a variety of instruments. Throughout the course of his musical career, Eddie Watkins Jr has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues, making loads of public appearances, all the while recording new music.

Growing up in the ghettos of Detroit, at 17 years old playing bass guitar on
recordings with the Temptations and Marvin Gaye,
being mentored by the Motown greats, becoming a studio musician, making lots
of money, moving to LA with Motown, substance abuse and recovery, lead to a
spiritual search.
When Eddie became involved in the new thought ancient / wisdom movement in
2007 songs woke him up pouring out of him.
His first CD was conceived, recorded, produced and selling within six months. To
this date eddie has written, produced and recorded seven spiritual inspirational
CDs.

It’s time for our Fall Fun-Raiser. Join us at our “Falling for Unity” dinner on Nov 9th from 5-8 PM. Inside there will be live music, silent auction, food and drinks. Join us September 21st for our 4th annual Cornhole & Karaoke event. The event kicks off at 3:00pm and lasts until we have our winners! The cornhole tournament is teams of two people and the cost is $20 per team. Teams must be registered by 2:30 pm the day of the event. For planning purposes, pre-registration is appreciated. You can call 417-576-5895 or email lisa@unityofspringfield.org to pre-register. This is a double-elimination tournament so everyone is guaranteed 2 games. Don’t want to play cornhole? No worries, there will be karaoke taking place on our outdoor stage which is always entertaining. There will also be food, snacks and alcohol beverages available to purchase. Bring a chair and come enjoy this fun-filled afternoon.
